2010 Skiatook Round-Up Club Play days

 

Sunday afternoons starting at 2:00 on the following dates:

 

 

March 21st

April 11th         April 25th

May 2nd                May 16th

June 6th           June 27th

July 25th

Aug 8th            Aug 22nd

Sept 12th         Sept 26th

           

These dates or times could be changed due to weather. Rainouts will try to be rescheduled the following Sunday.

In case of a cancellation information will be available by 11:00 am.  Call 263-3400 and listen for updates. 

 

Entry Fees:

$5.00 entry fee will include 3 events, Barrels, Poles and Flags and must be paid before participating.

If you arrive late and your age group has already begun you will not be able to participate in that event but will be allowed to participate in the next event.

 

There will be a $2.00 entry fee for those who would like to tie goats.  Points earned from the goats will not count towards the all around but year end awards will be awarded separately. We will have goats at every Play day.

 

Age Groups:

(Age of Jan 1st will run that age group all year)

 

Lead line

8 & Under

9 thru 12

13 thru 15

16 thru 19

 

Lead line is a class that has a reduced pattern and is only for children that need assistance either by a parent leading or just walking along side the horse and rider.  The horse must not outrun the leader at anytime, if this occurs it will result in a no time.  An adult may be mounted on horseback with the child or jockey along side the child but the horse must remain at a walk.  If a child starts to ride alone with no assistance they will be required to move to their appropriate age group, but their earned points will not carry over.

Contestants will be announced 3 times (10 sec intervals) after the 3rd call the contestant will be recorded as a no show and we will move to the next contestant.

 

 

No Times:

*Breaking of pattern                             *Hitting horse with flag

*Crossing back over timer                    *Running out of turn

* No show at gate                                * Horse outrunning leader

 

 

Exhibitions:

Exhibitions will be $5.00 per run and barrels only.  They will run immediately following the event limited to 10 entries per play day. 

 

Point System:

1st        12pts

2nd        10 pts

3rd        8 pts

4th        6 pts

5th        4 pts

6th        2 pts

All remaining will receive 1 pt

No times          0 pts   

 

A score sheet with updated points will be posted at every Play day

 

SRUC membership is due before points can be accrued

 

Ribbons:

1st thru 6th will receive place ribbons

All others will receive participation ribbons

Ribbons will be given at each play day for that days event placings

 

Fundraisers:

We will have a variety of fundraisers thru the season.

If fundraisers are successful and sponsors can be found we will not sell raffle tickets

 

Awards Eligibility Requirements:

Must participate in ½ of the scheduled Play days

Participant or a parent must attend a minimum of 3 RUC meetings

Participant (depending on age) or parent must have 3 workdays.

            Workdays consist of working a Rodeo, Fun show, Clean up day or Concession

 

Coggins Requirements:

A photo copy of negative coggins must be presented the first time you enter, and any time your horse is on the property your coggins papers should be also. It must be brought to the attention of the announcer if multiple riders are using the same horse. Anytime a different horse is on the property, coggins must be presented.  If anyone is found in violation of this rule you will be asked to remove your horse from the property and the participant will receive a no time.
