Standing Rules

Of

The Skiatook Roundup Club

 

Section I: Queen and Princess Contest

A: The contest for the Queen and Princess of the Skiatook Roundup Club will be held annually during the Skiatook Pioneer Day Rodeo.

B: Candidates who wish to compete for the title of Queen or Princess must have their dues paid by August one (1) of the appropriate year.

C. Rules concerning the pageant shall be established by the Pageant Director and approved by the executive committee, and shall be attached to these standing rules.

D.  If at anytime the Pageant Director feels the Queen or Princess is not fulfilling her obligation in her contract in which she signed with the Skiatook Roundup Club.  The Pageant Director has the right to ask her to resign with the Board of Directors approval.  

 

Section II: Cavalcade and Tulsa State Fair Day

A: All people wishing to compete at the Cavalcade or Tulsa State Fair must be paid members of the Skiatook Roundup Club by April 1st of appropriate year.

B: In the event that a club member is unavailable to participate in an event a non member is welcome to participate so long as they pay for a club membership, as well pay the Cavalcade or Tulsa State Fair entry fees. Should there be more than one person wishing to participate in an event, a draw will take place the evening of the regular club tryouts.  All entry fees are due at time of tryouts. 

C: Should a participant qualify, and yet fail to appear at the Cavalcade or Tulsa state Fair his/her money will be forfeited to the club.

D.        If a member does not show up for competition for the Tulsa State Fair or Cavalcade, without 48hrs. Prior notice to the date of the event, with exception of unforeseeable accidents you may not be allowed to tryout the following year.

E.        Cavalcade and Fairday office charge will be spilt by number of event and added to total of entry.

F.         Cavalcade camping

1.      Must be a member in good standing by April 1st of current year to camp.  Unless otherwise approved by the Board.

2.     No one under 18 years of age may camp without parental supervision.  Unless otherwise approved by the Board

3.     Anyone camping must turn in a Cavalcade Camping form.

4.     Anyone camping must carry their SRUC Membership card with them at all times.

5.     If any member should cause problems while camping at the Cavalcade they will be asked to leave the camp grounds, and depending on the reason their SRUC Membership may come up for questioning.

6.     Two Officers will camp and reside over camp.

Section III: Events

 A: No member may have event at the arena with out the prior approval of the executive committee and the board of directors.

B: A $50.00 nightly fee is required for all vendors wishing to set up at a club event.  All venders must be approved.

C. A $100.00 minimum charge for rental of the Arena unless other arrangements have been made with the executive committee and board of directors.  See contract for breakdown of other cost.

Section IV: Playdays

                A: The playdays are set by the playday director.

B: Rules concerning the playdays shall be established by the playday director and approved by the executive committee, and shall be attached to these standing rules.

C: All members competing in Playday must participate in at least three (3) meetings and three (3) Arena Workdays. If the participation rule has not been met by the last night of Pioneer Day you will not receive your playday awards.
